Futaba has been using Spread Spectrum technology for nearly 15 years in industrial R/C applications, so they have the dedicated engineering staff with 2.4GHz expertise. Unlike other manufacturers who started offering 2.4GHz for hobby R/C models using off-the-shelf IC chips, Futaba invested in extra research and development resulting in a custom IC chip thats ideally suited for the unque demands of R/C flying.




	The all new 10CH operates with either a 72MHz channel module or the new TM10 2.4GHz module. Is 2.4GHz better than 72MHz? Definitely. But if you already have a Futaba system and are looking to upgrade but still want to use your 72MHz module the 10CH can handle it.

Some people feel that a 2.4GHz system with a built-in module offers better response than a modular system. Nothing could be further from the truth. The 10C is a modular system, yet offers response superior to most “dedicated” systems. Why? Because response doesn’t depend on whether your module is built-in or modular. It depends on whether your signal starts in analog or digital form. Converting a signal from analog to digital form requires processing time — what you experience as lag. The 10C, on the other hand, was designed with a totally digital data stream. The signal starts digital and stays digital. Since no additional processing is needed, there’s no lag, either — just virtually instantaneous, real-time response.
Because the 10C is modular, you can use the TM-10 module to fly 2.4GHz-equipped aircraft…or replace it with a 50 or 72MHz module, and fly existing models without added equipment or expense.

Why is Futaba’s 2.4GHz system better?
Channel Shifting - This means that interference is virtually impossible. Futaba’s system only occupies each individual frequency for 2 milliseconds.
Stronger, More Robust Link - Futaba’s system doesn’t need redundant receivers. Instead, it uses a combination of Channel Shifting and Dual Antenna Diversity (DAD) to provide a robust, highly dependable link between the transmitter and receiver.
Pre-Vision Packet Screening Technology - This looks ahead for potential problems when scanning incoming data and applies sophisticated error correction techniques resulting in a system that gives the user a solid, impenetrable connection with their model.
Custom Developed Technology - Futaba uses custom IC chips that have been designed specifically for radio control.

So how does the receiver know what transmitter to link to?
Each transmitter has a unique ID code that after linking with the 2.4GHz receiver, assures this receiver will only follow commands from this transmitter. Set it and forget it! Just push the recessed button on the receiver and it will never forget the unique transmitter ID code, which locks the receiver to the transmitter. With over 134 million possible codes, there’s no chance for a conflict.


	Note: *10CH 2.4GHz transmitters will work with standard FM or PCM receivers as long as you have a 72MHz transmitter module in the transmitter.*
